Uniform Policy

The Holy Childhood School Uniform consists of the following:
GIRLS: Kindergarten through Fifth Grade:
Uniform Jumper - blue and green plaid #27
White Polo of golf-type knit short-sleeved or long-sleeved
shirt
White turtleneck or white blouse
Navy blue twill or corduroy slacks (straight leg)
Navy blue walking shorts (months of September & April through
June)
Navy blue sweater (plain crew neck, V-neck, or cardigan)
Navy blue school logo sweatshirt (can be purchased through
school)
Navy blue or white knee-highs, tight, or anklets
(no footies are allowed - socks must cover ankles)
GIRLS: 6th through 8th grade:
Pleated uniform skirt or split skirt - blue and green plaid

long-sleeved shirt

Navy blue V-neck pullover sweater vest (no buttons or
decorations)
Navy blue school logo sweatshirt (can be purchased through
school)
Navy blue twill or corduroy pants (straight leg, no
decorations)
Navy blue walking shorts (months of September & April through
June)
Navy blue, black, or white plain socks (no footies)
Navy blue, black, or brown belt (no studs or decorations)
PLEASE NOTE

Skirt/Jumper and
slacks may not be worn together. Uniform is either the skirt/jumper or the
slacks.

Sweaters and
sweatshirts may not be worn without a blouse or shirt underneath

Uniforms should be
purchased at Donald’s on Payne Ave. in St. Paul.

Holy Childhood logo
sweatshirts can be purchased through school.

Students may not wear
hats or baseball caps at any time in the school building. No sweatbands
(wrist or head) are allowed.

Please do not send
your children to school with torn or dirty uniforms.

The length for girls’
skirts should be AT THE KNEE.
SHOES
Students have the option
of wearing a dress shoe or a gym shoe that falls within the following
description:
Shoes can be white,
black, gray, navy blue, or brown. Shoelaces must be solid-colored and either
white, black, navy blue, gray or brown. They should have non-slip soles, should
not cover the anklebone, and should have heels no higher than 1-1/2 inches.
Shoes must be closed-toe and able to stay on the student’s foot during recess
and physical education. Sandals, clogs, patent leather party shoes, boots, ankle
boots, sling backs, or flip-flops are not acceptable. No light-up or
light-flashing soles are allowed.
JEWELRY
Students are allowed to
wear religious jewelry only. Very small stud earrings are permitted for girls
who have pierced ears. Boys may not wear pierced earrings to
school.
MAKE-UP & HAIR
No make-up is to be
worn during school hours. Girls can wear clear nail polish only.
Hairstyles for both boys and girls should be in good taste and not excessive.
Girls may not dye their hair. Hair for boys must be short enough that we can
clearly see their eyebrows and ears, and hair should not touch their shirt
collar.
